You can easily update your kitchen with paint, wallpaper, or laminate flooring. These are quick and easy solutions that you can do yourself in just a few hours. You will be amazed at how simple decorations can transform your kitchen.

Your kitchen will look completely different after the renovation process.

1. You can change the color of your furniture

Give it a new coat of paint if you’re tired of the current color. This is the fastest and most cost-effective way to make a kitchen trendy again.

Even if the furniture is already white, you can make the furniture look newer by changing the color of the lower pieces. Use a lacquer effect enamel if the furniture is made from melamine. To make the paint stick better, first sand the surface with sandpaper. Next, apply two to three coats of sealant (the first one you will need). Let it dry between each coat.

There are specific products available for painting kitchen furniture, and they can be found in the packaging. There are many colors available, and the finishes include matte, satin, bright, and extra bright. You will be amazed at the results.

2. Paint the tiles

You can paint ruined tiles in your kitchen. It isn’t as difficult as you might think and can have a dramatic effect on the walls. There are special paints available for ceramic surfaces that can be applied without the use of sealants or primers. These glazes can be applied easily with a roller and are very resistant to humidity. It is also possible to wash off the paint after it has dried without worrying about blistering or peeling. This type of application is best handled by high-quality paint brands.

3. Choose Faux Tiles

You can achieve the same effect as in this kitchen by using large-format self-adhesive rollers or foil wallpapers. There are many models to choose from, including some that offer striking and unusual combinations.

These cards look almost real. They can also be cleaned with a damp cloth to remove any grease or dirt residue. The cards are applied directly on the surface. This must be well cleaned to ensure that they stick. You can remove them easily if you feel tired.

4. Use decorative stickers

You can make your kitchen more modern or communicate better with it by using stickers. These stickers are great for decorating kitchen doors and bringing out details on one or more walls (as shown in the photo).

After you’ve chosen the sticker that you like best, remove a small amount of the protective paper and stick it to the wall. To prevent lines or bubbles from forming, it is important to smoothen the sticker before you attach it to the wall.

5. Laying laminate flooring

Laminate is an excellent option for modernizing kitchen floors. It can be placed on top of the original to prevent the formation of dust or debris. You have many decorative options. There are even geometric shapes and imitations from natural materials like stone and wood. It can be washed easily with a vinyl coating.

It comes in planks so installation is easy. Each piece has a groove and a tongue to ensure the pieces fit together. It is not necessary to glue them or screw them to existing floors. In the event of any university, it is necessary to apply a paste to the floor. Otherwise, the tiles can be placed directly on top of the existing floor. It may be necessary to lay a special underlay mat depending on the laminate.
It is possible to simply renovate the floor and modernize the whole kitchen.

6. Place two different coverings

If the kitchen tiles have been divided into two sections, another idea is to use two different materials as decoration. The refrigerator acts as a room divider in this example. On one wall, tiles are placed, and on the other, wallpaper is applied. This gives the wall more life and is ideal for those who love eclectic solutions.
